liz claiborne passed away at the age of 78…while the recent mass-market stuff turned out by the company that bears her name was not really my style, i wore her (actual) stuff back when she was still the strict mistress of her label - and it was really good. back when string tie bows around ruffly collars where de rigeur, her simple lines and bright colors were striking and wearable - a look worth aiming for, even now…

this vintage look is never out of date, and is still great for taller and or broader women…

and you can sure see where she got her eye - she could sure wear the heck out of her own clothes…
